Chicago Hospital Implements OccuPro Software

OccuPro is proud to announce the recent implementation of its comprehensive suite if industrial rehab software into a leading Illinois return-to-work hospital.  OccuPro recently completed its highly attended Functional Capacity Evaluation training course at Ingalls Center for Outpatient Rehabilitation in Calumet City, IL and at the same continuing education course Ingalls implemented OccuPro's web based industrial rehab software system.

Functional Capacity Evalution Training courseIngalls Hospital's Center for Outpatient Rehabilitation has an expansive work hardening area and up until recently they were sending their Functional Capacity Evaluations out of house.  They were looking to bring those FCE's back in house to be performed by their rehabilitation staff and wanted to boost their work hardening program.  Their Rehab Director, Irek Filipiak, attended OccuPro's Comprehensive Industrial Rehab Training course a year ago and determined at this course that the programming OccuPro offered would help their entire rehabilitation return-to-work program.  As Ingalls began the process of expanding their market share in return to work services they turned to OccuPro's various continuing education courses and software to assist.

Following the Functional Capacity Evaluation course, Deanna Moody, P.T.A stated "Every aspect of this course was beneficial.  It was good to learn how to perform FCE's."

Functional Capacity Evaluation SoftwareOccuPro's Functional Capacity Evaluation Training continuing education course teaches clinicians a 100% kinesiophysical approach to performing FCE's.  The testing method is not an in the box method in which clinicians have to specifically follow a certain testing protocol.  Clinicians are encouraged to change the testing methods to better replicate what the persons job specifically requires for return to work which greatly improves the validity of the testing method.

Functional Capacity Evaluation Sample ReportThe main aspect of OccuPro's innovative approach to industrial rehab include the implementation of their proprietary Functional Progress Notes and Functional Discharge Summaries.
Functional Progress Notes TM and Functional Discharge Summaries TM are functional re-assessments that are performed during outpatient therapy.  Unlike an FCE that tests a persons entire body, these functional re-assessments test the injured joint to help determine if the injured joint is ready to return to full duty work.  These functional re-assessments do not require a Dr's order, do not require insurance approval, and usually are a 50% to 100% higher charge ticket as compared to a standard treatment session charge ticket.

Krystian Posnik, PT also attended OccuPro's Functional Capacity Evaluation course and reported "I am new to this field but I like it now!  This course exceeded my expectations. Jim did an excellent job."

Functional Capacity Evaluation Training CourseThe methodologies OccuPro teaches clinics throughout the United States include implementing a full approach to industrial rehab from initial outpatient eval all the way to return to work.  Clinics that implement OccuPro's Online Assessment Application and participate in their Comprehensive Industrial Rehab Training course are clinics that specialize in the treatment of the injured worker.
