Ohio Rehabilitation centers implement software
Burkam & Associates Rehabilitation Group recently implemented OccuPro's comprehensive suite of industrial rehab software into all of their locations. Burkam & Associates has seven clinics throughout central Ohio and are looking to boost their worker's compensation programming in all sites. They turned to OccuPro's highly sought after comprehensive worker's compensation return to work testing system to help them specialize in treating the injured worker. They began their pursuit of being a specialist in the treatment and rehabilitation of the injured worker by training one clinician at each of their seven clinic locations and they plan to train all staff at all of their locations. Burkam & Associates will have two primary clinic locations that perform Functional Capacity Evaluations and Work Conditioning with a primary therapist designated to perform these tests and run this program. All seven clinics will have each of their staff members trained to perform Functional Progress Notes TM and Functional Discharge Summaries TM. The main aspect of OccuPro's innovative approach to industrial rehab include the implementation of their proprietary Functional Progress Notes and Functional Discharge Summaries. These are functional re-assessments that are performed during outpatient therapy. Unlike a Functional Capacity Evaluation that tests a persons entire body, these functional re-assessments test the injured joint to help determine if the injured joint is ready to return to full duty work. These functional re-assessments do not require a Dr's order, do not require insurance approval, and usually are a 50% to 100% higher charge ticket as compared to a standard treatment session charge ticket.The methodologies OccuPro teaches clinics throughout the United States include implementing a full approach to industrial rehab from initial outpatient eval all the way to return to work.
