By the end of Day 1, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the role of an Injury Prevention Specialist and the range of on-site injury prevention and early intervention services
  • Develop strategies for marketing, sales, networking, and business development to establish injury prevention contracts
  • Prepare and deliver customer presentations that effectively demonstrate value, return on investment, and program benefits
  • Interpret OSHA first aid guidelines and distinguish between first aid, recordable injuries, and reportable workplace incidents
  • Apply OSHA first aid principles when evaluating and managing early signs and symptoms of work-related injuries
  • Evaluate the role of pre-shift stretching programs and implement strategies that support injury prevention initiatives

To be eligible for certification as a Certified Injury Prevention Specialist (CIPS), you must:

  • Complete our Injury Prevention Specialist Course
  • Perform and submit two case studies
  • Submit a completed application packet
  • Pass peer review process
  • Submit a non-refundable processing fee (standard price is $350 – price may vary)
